The following is a review of the small booklet read by a woman I recently met. It’s always amusing to see the different impressions experienced by readers and how they express their reading experience.
“…is an expose based on her research and personal experiences with a personal healing crisis and our health care systems.
…Government agencies are responsible for protecting the public from unethical practices and harmful medicines and procedures. Instead these agencies are validating drugs and healthcare procedures regardless of the impact on the patient’s health. In some cases, various drugs and procedures exacerbates the patient’s condition. Again the focus is money and not healthcare, it also demonstrates the power of lobbyist influencing healthcare policy.
Basically, corporations such as hospitals, Insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, medical equipment and medical supply companies are to provide goods and services to support the health and well-being of patients. Most of the goods and services they provide are for managing symptoms like pain and discomfort, not for healing. Instead their objectives are based on Machiavellian principles, the bottom line is most important. Therefore their products and services are marginal since healthcare shortcuts are taken to maintain healthy profit margins.
As a result of the quagmire created by the above government and corporate influences people are confused and entangled in a web of lies and deceit that misleads and confuses the decision making process.
Finally, she urges people to return to God and points out several issues that affect a person’s health; how healthcare systems further corrupts the body’s innate ability to heal. In addition, she urges her readers to return to scripture for guidance to heal. She points out the negative impact of going outside for help before you get connected with God from the inside. The battle between God’s will and personal will also supports the erosion of health. One must surrender to divine guidance and make the appropriate changes to heal.

“…it’s kind of the Christian version of Eat, Pray Love.”

“I knew I had to buy this book once I heard about Kathy’s message over the internet and heard her on a radio interview. After reading the first five pages, I was already thinking this book is so amazing, everyone needs to read it! It’s the same message that I feel God has been getting to me and through me ever since I realized he did want me healed from chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia a few years ago, and so I asked him how to get healed! He essentially spoke the same things to me and put me on the same diet, as well as some extra steps needed for my particular case.
I handed the book to my husband and told him to read to where I was and he replied, “I don’t want to read right now.” But then I left him alone and he read past where I was and then looked me in the eye and said “This lady’s cool.” We both love her message.
Even just 15 pages of it is worth the investment. The bible says “Above all else seek wisdom.” And “My people perish for lack of knowledge.” Well, I think no matter what you’re trying to get well from, this book will help you. It’s already inspired me a lot. And it’s done something that I really think all books should do, but not that many do: It’s made me feel closer to God. I feel like it’s God holding out his heart of healing to us and hoping we will take it.
It describes her own personal journey, and she has lead an extraordinary and kind of shocking life! She’s really, really honest and open. She really pours her heart out in this book. I don’t think many authors let you in this much to their heart. Hmm, it’s kind of the Christian version of Eat, Pray Love.
It also contains practical wisdom, and exemplifies a good mindset toward healing, which is rare to find in Christians and non-Christians alike. This book and her life are really quite a trip. The cover picture of a path in the woods is appropriate, because she’s made a path of healing for others to follow.
After I read the first 15 or so pages of it, I was crying, overwhelmed at her life and how she sought God, and how God responded as well. And a song started playing in my head that I think describes Kathy’s heart toward God: “Just to see you smile, I’d do anything that you wanted me to. When all is said and done, I’d never count the cost, it’s worth all that’s lost, just to see you smile.” Kelly DeCamp
