The Destructive Power of a Carnal Christian Youth Group

I got very ill while being a typical wife, Mom and congregant. Modern church teachings failed so I canceled all medical tests_appts and chased GOD down. HE SHOWED UP and taught me how to get well.

As you might imagine, this caused an erosion of my credibility as a parent and hardship in the home.  “Mom, he’s been to theology school.”  Uh huh…and I recall something about a millstone tied around the neck for anyone who causes a child to stumble.  Pointing a child, in your ministry, towards foolishness and self-indulgence rather than principles of wisdom and self-discipline wouldn’t seem to be an advanced course in any theology school so maybe it’s time to rethink what’s been taught and accepted.  What’s being MODELED in front of these young people under the guise of “church youth group” needs to be looked at deeply and reverently.  As a church leader there are stiff penalties for getting this wrong.  Maybe it’s time to read Getting Well God’s Way.  If you hurry there’s still time to repent and get it right.
