A “shepherd” that doesn’t bother to learn about the vast threats to their herd, knows nothing about their proper diet, and what creates illness and disease in the flock, and certainly doesn’t learn about PREDATORS, and create a protective environment for them is what the Bible would call a “hireling”. They SHOULD care about all of these things to fulfill their PAID position but they simply don’t have the same heart as THE FATHER.
I had a high-end business using a very specialized piece of equipment and hired a girl to help me. She went out of town and I was servicing all the clients and every single one of them commented about the immense difference in the attention to details between the owner and a paid (hired) employee.
So, you need to learn to love yourself and take care of yourself because nobody will love and take care of you better than you, even if they mean well.
